Guelph, ON – November 4, 2025 – The Grand Highlands Home Builders’ Association (GHHBA) proudly hosted its official Merger Celebration on October 30th at the historic Cambium Farms in Caledon, welcoming members, industry leaders, and community partners to commemorate the unification of three longstanding associations into one strong, collective voice for the residential construction industry.
The celebration marked the official coming together of the Guelph Wellington Development Association, the Guelph & District Home Builders’ Association, and the Greater Dufferin Home Builders’ Association under the new GHHBA banner. Guests enjoyed an evening of networking, recognition, and celebration of this milestone achievement, with remarks highlighting the strength of collaboration, unified advocacy, and commitment to the future of housing across the region.
“The merger represents not only a consolidation of resources, but also a strengthening of our ability to advocate for housing, development, and building in our communities,” said Lisa Schuett, President of GHHBA. “We are excited about the future and proud to celebrate this moment with our members, sponsors, and partners.”
GHHBA CEO, Melissa Jonker, also shared remarks, emphasizing the significance of the evening:

Tonight was about honoring our past while looking forward to an ambitious and collaborative future.”
