The Grand Highlands Home Builders’ Association (GHHBA) is the unified voice of the residential construction industry in Guelph, Wellington, and Dufferin.
The GHHBA serves the needs of and advocates for both residential construction businesses and homeowners in the community. Our mission is to create competitive advantage for our members and promote affordability, quality, and choice for consumers by:
- Advocating for effective regulatory change and sound municipal policies
- Delivering professional education and recognition programs
- Providing business development forums and networking opportunities
- Amplifying our collective voice with stakeholders

The GHHBA is a non-profit organization governed by an elected Board of Directors and supported by a professional Chief Executive Officer.

We work in collaboration with both provincial and national bodies, the Ontario Home Builder’s Association (OHBA) and the Canadian Home Builder’s Association (CHBA), in order to drive change at all three levels of government. It was established to serve the needs of both residential construction businesses and homeowners in the Guelph, Wellington and Dufferin communities.

For our business members, we provide excellent networking events, opportunities for education on industry trends, collaboration with other local organizations, and recognition for outstanding work in the community.
For homeowners, we offer a variety of resources to help them connect with reliable companies so they can feel confident about making informed decisions about their home.

GHHBA is an active association comprised of an Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and various committees. GHHBA’s Chief Executive Officer, Melissa Jonker, looks after the day-to-day operations, but the backbone of the association is its members and volunteers.
An association is only as good as its volunteers, and GHHBA is lucky to have some of the best in the industry. The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Association, responsible for overseeing the organization’s activities including advocacy work, networking opportunities, and finances.
